You’ve spent months planning your wedding, and when the reception finally arrives, it’s time to celebrate, laugh, dance, and soak it all in. As your photographers and/or videographers, Tony Marsh Video and Photo will make sure you don’t miss a moment. Here’s a little peek behind the scenes at what I’ll be doing to capture the magic of your night—and what you can expect from me!

1. We Will Talk In Advance About Your Timeline

Before the big day, I’ll work with you or your planner to get the full rundown. When’s the first dance? The cake cutting? The toasts? I want to be exactly where I need to be at the right moment, without ever having to tap you on the shoulder to ask.

2. I’ll Handle the (Sometimes Tricky) Lighting

Reception lighting can be romantic... and challenging. Whether it’s twinkly string lights, colorful dance floor lighting, or candlelit tables, I’ll bring everything I need to work with it—not against it. My goal is to keep the mood while making sure your photos still look crisp, beautiful, and full of life.

3. I’ll Capture All the Little Details You Worked So Hard On

From your centerpieces to the cake to those adorable personalized cocktail napkins—you can bet I’ll be snapping all the details before the party kicks into full gear. I know how much love and energy you poured into them, and I want you to have photos of every little thing you might miss while you're busy celebrating.

4. I’m Here to Tell Your Story, Not Just Pose You

Some of the best photos aren’t planned at all. I’ll be moving through the crowd capturing hugs, laughter, happy tears, and crazy dance moves—all those real, heartfelt moments that make your wedding night unforgettable. Trust me, you’re going to LOVE looking back at these!

5. I’ll Always Be Looking Out for You

You’ll be pulled in a hundred directions during the reception, and that’s okay—you’re supposed to enjoy every second! I’ll always have an eye on you, ready to catch the spontaneous smiles, private glances, and those little moments that happen when you think no one’s looking.

6. The Dance Floor Is My Studio

When the music kicks up, I’m right there with you (camera in hand, of course!). Whether it’s your dad’s hilarious moves or your best friends belting out ‘Sweet Caroline,’ I’ll be capturing all the energy, joy, and downright fun happening on the dance floor.

7. I’ll Be Professional, Respectful, and (Mostly) Invisible

I’m there to support your celebration, not to disrupt it. I’ll stay out of the way, work hand-in-hand with your DJ, planner, and caterer to help make sure everything runs smoothly while capturing every incredible moment.
